ACO Leaders Provider Partners Joins Park Place Live

Mark Parkinson, CEO of Park Place Live, this week welcomed Provider Partners to the site as its newest sponsor, giving the platform a valuable collaborator from the ever-evolving world of value-based care (VBC)/accountable care organizations (ACOs).
In a video on the Innovations section of www.ParkPlaceLive.com, Parkinson chats with Eric Palm, chief growth officer, Provider Partners, and discusses why value-based care is here to stay and how skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) can take advantage of programs in play now and those coming soon.
Provider Partners contracts with SNFs, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes to offer tech-enabled VBC. The company also combines long-term care expertise and real-time clinical intelligence in an ACO REACH model partnership.
“I've been running around the country for the last 10 years telling people that the most important development in long-term care in my lifetime is the growth of I-SNPs and ACOs,” Parkinson said. “Why? Because finally, they give providers, not just insurance companies, they give providers the opportunity to participate in the savings that we get when we do a great job of taking care of residents.”
He added that this completely aligns the residents' interests with ours. “It allows us to get financial rewards. I've seen providers make money with this, and I've also seen quality outcomes go through the roof. It's a really great thing.”
Parkinson said Park Place Live, with the addition of Provider Partners as a sponsor, now has a thought leader from the VBC space in tow. “They've been successful in getting ACOs and I-SNPs into over 1,000 buildings across the country, and we're thrilled to have them on board,” he said.
Palm said the goal of Provider Partners is to put together a value-based care ecosystem. “So, whether it's an I-SNP, an ACO model, or any of the future models that are going to be coming out, we want to be that one-stop value-based care organization for everybody to participate in these models.,” he said.
