CMS Extends Key LEAD ACO Deadlines

CMS has extended key deadlines for its LEAD ACO model from Sept. 8 to Sept. 11, according to sources who track ACO developments for the long-term care sector.

Here are the deadlines that were moved to Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. ET:

-              Deadline for LEAD ACOs to drop Participant TINs and Preferred Providers that they do not wish to include on their final provider lists. All Participant TIN overlaps must be resolved to ensure participation in the LEAD ACO for PY 2027.

-              Deadline for submitting signed Letters of Intent (LOI) or executed agreements with all Participant TINs on the Final Participant TIN List

Here are deadlines for September 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET:

-              Deadline to sign the Implementation Period Participation Agreement

-              Deadline to submit Core Service Areas (CSA)

-              Deadline to submit sunsetted Legacy TINs

-              Deadline to submit NPP/CCN Designation Template

-              Deadline to submit requests to the Help Desk for ACO-level Risk Option changes

-              Deadline to elect ACO-level capitated payment mechanisms

-              Deadline to elect ACO-level BEs/BEIs

-              Deadline to send written notification to the TIN Executive of Preferred Providers
