Leading EHR solutions company MatrixCare named healthcare pro Jonathan Lujan as CEO on the same day Frazier Healthcare Partners closed on its acquisition of the company.
Frazier Healthcare Partners is a private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, which in July agreed to acquire MatrixCare from Resmed. The transaction includes MatrixCare and related software offerings historically sold under the MatrixCare brand, including Healthcare First, Citus, and home health and hospice solutions.
In announcing the new CEO and deal closing, MatrixCare said it is now independent and “as a standalone company, MatrixCare gains greater flexibility, faster decision-making, and the ability to invest directly in the platform and innovation its customers rely on.”
Experienced Leader
MatrixCare said Lujan brings deep experience across healthcare services and technology, with a proven track record of operational leadership, commercial transformation, and value creation. He most recently served as CEO of Sight Growth Partners, where he led the company's operational transformation and growth into one of the nation's largest ophthalmology management organizations.
Previously, he served as vice president and general manager of Lifeline Vascular Care at DaVita and held multiple executive leadership roles at Surgical Information Systems, including chief growth officer and senior vice president of business development and strategy.
Earlier in his career, Lujan held leadership positions at GE Healthcare and J.P. Morgan's Healthcare Investment Banking Group.
