CFG executed more than $1.8 billion in loans in the first half of 2026 from 119 deals, including 29 bridge loans, 26 HUD loans, 16 accounts receivable facilities, and 48 commercial loans.

CFG in a recent announcement said it executed more than $1.8 billion in loans in the first half of 2026. The total is comprised of 119 deals, including 29 bridge loans, 26 HUD loans, 16 accounts receivable facilities, and 48 commercial loans, spanning skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, memory care, behavioral health, multifamily, and commercial lending nationwide.

“We’re entering the second half of the year ahead of the pace we set in 2025, reflecting the continued strength of our lending platform and the confidence our clients place in CFG,” said CFG Bank President Erik Howard. “Our growth is driven by the breadth of our capabilities, the depth of our relationships, and our ability to execute across a diverse range of financing solutions. We look forward to building on this momentum through the remainder of the year.”

A sample of transactions executed in the first half includes:

  • $308 million HUD-insured refinance for a portfolio of 13 skilled nursing facilities. The transaction represented the culmination of a multi-year strategic financing engagement, beginning with acquisition financing, HUD Transfer of Physical Assets (TPA) approvals, and long-term HUD execution planning. CFG Associate Vice President Catherine Mansel originated the deal.

  • $288.8 million bridge loan for the acquisition and sale leaseback of 22 skilled nursing facilities, featuring 1,884 beds, across Missouri and Kansas. The deal was executed through multiple financing vehicles, provided 100 percent by CFG, and closed alongside a separate $30.0 million working capital line of credit for the same borrower’s broader 40-facility portfolio, part of a combined $318.8 million closing. CFG Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare Business Development Andrew Jones and Associate Vice President Catherine Mansel originated the deal.

  • $72.4 million bridge loan for the refinancing and dividend recapitalization of a skilled nursing portfolio, featuring nine facilities throughout Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. CFG Vice President of South Region for Skilled Nursing Real Estate Jimmy Zabel originated the deal.

  • $70.8 million bridge loan for the acquisition of five skilled nursing facilities in Ohio, totaling 418 beds. CFG Managing Director and Co-Head of Healthcare Business Development Andrew Jones and Senior Associate Ava Julio originated the deal.

  • $46.3 million HUD loan for the refinancing of a 266-bed skilled nursing facility in Nevada. CFG Managing Director of HUD Craig Casagrande and Associate Vice President Catherine Mansel originated the deal.

  • $42.9 million in financing for five skilled nursing and assisted living facilities totaling 396 beds in Pennsylvania. The transaction supported the acquisition of two newly purchased facilities and refinancing of three existing properties, enabling the borrower to secure 100 percent financing by leveraging the substantial equity built through the strong performance of its existing portfolio. The structure also facilitated a dividend recapitalization as part of the overall transaction. CFG Managing Director of HUD Craig Casagrande and Associate Vice President Catherine Mansel originated the deal.

  • $30.0 million working capital line of credit for a skilled nursing operator’s full, 40-facility, 4,224-bed portfolio across Missouri, Kansas, and Ohio. The line closed alongside a separate $288.8 million bridge loan for the same borrower’s acquisition and sale leaseback of 22 skilled nursing facilities in Missouri and Kansas, part of a combined $318.8 million closing. CFG Managing Director of Accounts Receivable Finance Jeff Stein and Director Jim Ginty originated the deal.

  • $28.8 million construction financing for the development of a 78-unit assisted living and memory care facility in Pewaukee, Wis. CFG Managing Director of Senior Housing Real Estate Ken Assiran originated the deal. The financing represents CFG’s second transaction this year with the borrower, a strong Midwest regional developer and operator that has completed seven projects with CFG across the region.

  • $21.2 million acquisition financing for two skilled nursing facilities totaling 195 beds in Ohio. CFG Managing Director and Co-Head Healthcare Business Development Andrew Jones and Associate Vice President Catherine Mansel originated the deal.

  • $18.1 million note-on-note bridge loan for the financing of two multifamily facilities, a 100-unit and a 28-unit property, located in Jacksonville, Fla. The borrower intends to file for Florida’s tax credit program for non-profit affordable housing, a creative value-add strategy aimed at significantly reducing the real estate tax burden, as the existing rents already qualify for the program. CFG Vice President, Commercial Relationship Lender Jon Selfridge originated the deal.
